I get paid about $25 per week and I’ve been having trouble balancing either buying comics or clothes. I spend about $15 on comics average per week. But I want new clothes which costs about $50-60. Any ideas?

$25 a week means you’re probably a teenager. I would go with the advice of the guy above me and count on your parents to take you clothes shopping. I don’t know what sort of job you have that gives you $25 a week, but I’m sure you can find some other things to do to make even more cash. Depending on your exact situation and capabilities, you can always tutor or babysit kids younger than you, or do chores around the house for an allowance. Like I said, I don’t know your exact situation, but if you’re thoughtful and innovative, you can probably find some pretty good ways of making some money (That might also be a good Yahoo! Question to ask: What are some things a kid my age can do for some extra money?) Getting into the whole mentality of working to get money to get the things you like is a good thing to ingrain into yourself early, too.
You can always find deals on clothes or comics by shopping online. Amazon, at the very least, usually has 30% discounts on comic Trade Paperbacks and mangas, there’s plenty of deals to be found on ebay, and I’m sure there are lots of places with affordable clothes as well (but again, I dunno your situation and if you can shop online) Just always take your time considering what you want to spend money on (both right now, and at all points in the future) and the time you take debating with yourself you may find will be time you don’t spend money, and will have saved some up by the time you do make a decision. Every time you pick something up to buy, REALLY ask yourself if the item is worth the money you’re spending on it. Debate with yourself and don’t give in so easy. Sometimes it’s best to just say “maybe I’ll get this another day” and walk out of a store with money still in your pocket. 🙂
edit: I looked at your Y! Answers profile and noticed you ask a question about Marvel Legends action figures. If you really want to save yourself money, action figures are a hobby I would really advise you to stay away from. They’re expensive, addicting, and as you grow up, you’ll find yourself realizing that action figures, while fun when you’re younger, is really kind of lame as you’re older. Comics, however, you can grow with some, since there are comics for older readers and adults that you’ll still find yourself reading in your 20s and 30s if your tastes stay the same. I’ve even gotten people in their 40s reading thoughtful comics and graphic novels like V for Vendetta, Sandman, Ghost World, Cerebus, American Splendor and more. These are books that would probably bore you right now, but will intrigue you when you’re older. There’s no such thing as “action figures for adults”. Any adult who keeps action figures around, well, is probably still living in their parent’s basement and have never kissed a girl, ya know what I’m saying? You don’t want to be one of them 😉 So, cut the Marvel Legends out, and you’ll save quite a bit of money.
Well, if you are a kid or teen or whatever, stuff being provided by parents, do comics, because you WILL get clothes from your parents, just not fancy stuff.
If your a comic freak, buy comics.
You can sell comics on Ebay too, Hrm?
