How many issues of the buffy season 8 comic book are there, and were can i get them all?

There are currently 24, 25 coming out in May, and the best place imo to buy them are through http://www.tfaw.com or a similar site where you can preorder yourself a copy of the upcoming releases and not have to worry about missing one.
At this time, Season Eight is supposed to be a 40-issue comic run. If you need to purchase multiple back issues, I would first see if there is an omnibus for them in a local bookstore or comic book store. They tend to be alongside manga and other graphic novels in places like Barnes and Noble, Waldenbooks, etc.

I bought mine off of Amazon.com, and there are three out right now. The fourth comes out soon!

There are currently 24 issues that have been released, and issue 25 is scheduled to be released on May 6th.
If you don’t want to buy them online you can try your local comic book stores which you can find by using this website: http://www.comicshoplocator.com/
If you don’t mind getting them online, the following website has all 24 issues in stock and shipping will be free since the price will be over $50 for all of them: http://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=699661
They have multiple covers listed for each issue (ie 1A, 1B, 1C, etc) so you only need to get one cover for each issue in order to get the whole story (I’d get the cheapest ones if you aren’t a serious collector or don’t plan on becoming one).
Now that I think about it, if you just want to read the story it’s a little bit cheaper just to get the trade paperbacks which reprint 5 issues each. The same website has the three that have already been released available for $12.75 each. I’m pretty sure the fourth one will be released in May, but it looks like they release each one every six months so you wouldn’t be able to get the fifth one until November. http://www.mycomicshop.com/search?SeriesID=14672661&SetShowNotes=N#15101481
