Jack Nicholson was the face of the Joker in the Batman film franchise. 19 years later, a challenger appears, Heath Ledger. 2 very different Jokers, I like them both. This shows how Jack did this, and how Heath did that; and what would happen if they got a little physical with each other. =p I edited this out of pure fun and entertainment. Like the other guy said, this is a NON-PROFIT video. Property of Warner Brothers. Footage of Batman and The Dark Knight. Music by Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard. “You ever dance with the devil in the pale moon light?”
Get em Jack.
Mark Hamill beats them both
It would have been cool if when Ledger-Joker says, “This town deserves a better class of criminal”, Nicholson-Joker replies, “This town needs an enema”!!!
There are always 2 Jokers in a deck
Definately. I made a list of crossover movies that should totally be made and this was one of them.
Love how old people are commenting on this video just to try to convince everyone that Nicholson is better. Batman 89 was boring. I practiced my psycic ability to predict the future and it worked flawlessly.
ANd What is up with batman raising his arms like an asshole at the starting when he approaches the criminal.
Alfred leading someone into the Batcave.
Nicholson just laughed and tried to be clever with his lines BUT THIS TOWN DESERVES A BETTER CLASS OF CRIMINAL. AND LEDGER DELIEVED HIM.
Nicholson is the man. The first batman was huge for it’s time and Nicholson made that movie when he played Joker. Heath’s version is killer as well but sometimes I think he gets the votes because he died shortly afterwards. And perhaps the older one has been seen so many times by so many at this point that people are a bit bored of Jack. Props to both but Jack is better.
The question here is not “Which Joker is better?”. There is no better Joker. Both Jokers are two completely different performances. Jack played a more goofy, comedic, mob boss Joker and Heath played a more totally nuts messed up psycothic Joker. The question you are supposed to ask instead of “Which Joker is better” is “Which Joker do you PREFER?” If you prefer the more campy, funny, gangster Joker then you like Jack more. If you prefer a more dark and more psycothic Joker, you prefer Heath.
I prefer Heath but Jack was great too.
But Mark Hamill pwns both
To me, I thought it was Heath’s acting that did well, not because of his death, but because he disappeared into his character. Jack was simply…Jack. Heath owns the Joker, that’s forever his role. So, Heath did better.
“where does he get those wonderful toys!?”
Jack Nicholson’s was classic performance, exciting and strong by Heath Ledger
@lothor1234 dude….couldn’t have put it better myself
Jacks joker was a joke. Heath clearly owned.
no, no ledger looks too serious in the dark knight …i think ledger was using the brand xxxxxxssss……
look as ive seen both they honistley cant beat each other the only reason heath wins is populatity jack and heath are diffrent jokers heath is the hands down dark side of joker where jack is the mad one who gose to the comics with the red hood thing so both win

Ledger 4EVER
where does he got those wonderfoul toys ha ha
the little jump ledger did in 2:36 i laughed my ass off in the cinema and everyone was watching me and their eyes are like ” there is nothing funny about an exploding hospital”
Heath Ledger would win
Not be redundant but as so many have said here, their portayals of the Joker are completely different. And meant to be. Look at Caesar Romero’s Joker (which I’m sure very few youtubers know or care about)on the very popular TV show from the 60s.Jack was following that lead being very true to the origional comic book Joker. This Dark Knight Batman is a reinterpretation of the character. And the villians follow suit.Heath does a very good job as the new Joker.
The very first batman comic was very dark and very successful but it wasn’t really suitable for young kids who usually read comic books. DC comics decided it would be best it up a bit with such characters as Robin, to target the children audience. Leger plays the roll of the joker in the way it was meant to be told, and now he got his chance and he did an amazing job. He is the best and the real Joker
@theking55137 i agree 100%! th old mark hamill joker showed joker without a real motive, just 2 break outta arkham nd cause som havoc…nd thts generally wat heath does but in a more believable way. i think tht heath did th most believable joker!!!
